Brief Description Of Activity

Host Job Fair 

On February 26, 2008, our stations hosted the “2008 Employment Expo” at the Workforce Network locations in Midland and Odessa, Texas. We solicited local employers to participate in this job fair and ran on-air announcements to promote the fair.  We also participated as a local employer.  Station participants included our Market Manger, General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Operations Manager and Internet Recruitment Specialist.

Co-Sponsor Job Fair

 

On September 12, 2007, our stations sponsored a job fair in conjunction with KMID-TVat the Clarion Hotel in Midland, Texas.  We ran on-air announcements to promote the event, which included businesses throughout the community. We also participated as a local employer.  Station participants included our Market Manager, General Sales Manager, and Local Sales Manager.

Participate in Job Fair

On March 12, 2008, our stations participated in the Midland Reporter Telegram Job Fair at the Horseshoe Arena in Midland, Texas.  Station participants included our Local Sales Manager and Internet Recruitment Specialist.

Host On-Air Job Fairs

Throughout this reporting period, this SEU hosted on-air job fairs twice each month, called “Job Marathons,” broadcasting the employment recrutiment ads of local participating employers as well as those of our stations. We promoted the Job Marathons via live promotional announcements in day parts throughout the week and solicited the local employers.
